About the role

As an Engineering Manager at Acast you will be the people manager and technical leader across two teams. You will work closely with our tech leadership team to continuously deliver value and make sure that the members in your teams are growing. You will build, support, and grow these teams through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and feedback. You will drive execution by organizing teamwork, setting goals, and holding the teams accountable. You will have a critical role in guiding product decision making alongside stakeholders. In addition to your two teams, you will also be contributing to and influencing the engineering organization’s direction and culture alongside other engineering managers and directors.

What you'll do

The Delivery area is the core of Acast where the content, the user and the monetization meet to deliver the best possible experience and value for everyone. Collaborating with experienced PMs, you will guide two of the area’s key teams to break new ground in automating campaign planning and delivering smarter targeting through data driven recommendations. The work of your teams will create value for advertisers, creators, and the broader podcast ecosystem.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who truly enjoys developing and growing people. Leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills are among your strengths. We also believe that you advocate agile software development and engineering best practices. It's important that you are curious and can adapt quickly and enjoy a dynamic and ever-changing environment. The team’s systems are mainly written in TypeScript and Infrastructure runs in AWS so you are expected to be familiar with these technologies. In this role, you will be expected to stay connected to the team’s daily work and be a technical leader with the respect of your team. For this important teams we are seeking someone with solid experience and a strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams, and managing stakeholder relationships.

Where you will be

Most of our teams are hybrids with some members co-located in offices and some working remotely. For this role you can work remote within Sweden, or based out of our central Stockholm office.
