About the role
As a Tax Accounting Manager, you will take on an important and developing role by establishing and shaping our first dedicated function within tax and treasury. You will build workflows, structures, and processes from the ground up and ensure that we have the right conditions in place for regulatory compliance, effective liquidity management, and a sustainable financial structure as we continue to expand internationally. You will be part of a lean finance organization, where a hands-on approach will be required.
You will join our accounting team and take overall ownership of the group's tax matters, with a complementary responsibility for treasury. This role suits someone with a finance/accounting background and several years of tax experience in an international environment, who wants to combine hands-on tax work with broader financial responsibility.
You will work closely with our accounting team, collaborate with controlling, legal, and our international subsidiaries, and act as the company's primary point of contact with the Swedish Tax Agency, foreign tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors. You will report to the Global Director Accounting and Finance.
What you'll do
Tax
Ensure accurate and efficient handling of VAT and indirect taxes globally.
Reconcile tax accounts in the general ledger against filed returns and tax authority decisions.
Prepare, review, and file corporate income tax returns for the parent company and international subsidiaries, often in collaboration with local external tax advisors.
Own the group's Transfer Pricing, including documentation (Master File and Local Files), policy development, and ongoing follow-up, ensuring intercompany transactions are conducted on an arm's length basis.
Act as the primary point of contact for tax audits and inquiries from the Swedish Tax Agency and foreign authorities.
Monitor regulatory developments in international tax and assess their impact on the business.
Act as a trusted advisor to other parts of the organization on tax matters, including commercial agreements and arrangements involving international customers, podcasters, platforms, and vendors.
Provide tax input and advice when the company establishes new subsidiaries or sales offices abroad.
Treasury
Take responsibility for daily liquidity planning and cash management, including monitoring cash flows and developing efficient routines.
Work with currency management and financial risk, including establishing and maintaining relevant procedures.
Develop and streamline treasury processes and systems, including automation and improved internal controls.
Support bank relationship management, credit facilities, and capital-related matters together with the Accounting Director.
Deliver clear reporting and analysis of liquidity, risk, and financial flows to Finance and management.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Responsibilities
Support the Global Director Accounting and Finance in analyses related to capital structure, financing, and the tax implications of business decisions.
Drive process improvement and standardization within the tax and treasury area.
Collaborate closely with accounting, controlling, legal, and international subsidiaries.
Work hands-on in daily operations as needed.
Who you are
At least five years of experience working with tax, ideally with a finance or accounting background, within an international group.
Strong understanding of direct and indirect taxation, preferably with experience from group structures and international operations.
Comfortable with financial close processes and reconciliations, and enjoy translating tax matters into accounting entries.
Experience with or interest in liquidity planning and financial analysis is an advantage.
Comfortable working in a fast-growing and evolving environment where you drive improvements and take ownership.
You are fluent in both Swedish and English (written and spoken).
Experience working in NetSuite is considered an advantage.
