About the role
As our FP&A - Business Controller, you will serve as a lead strategic architect within our finance function. In this role, you aren’t just observing the business; you are a key partner to senior management, translating complex data into the actionable insights that drive our growth as a listed company.
Operating within a public environment, you will balance the rigor of high-level compliance with the agility of strategic business support. You will be responsible for overseeing financial management reporting and providing the "why" behind the figures to facilitate expert decision-making across the organization.
What you´ll do
Business Partnering:
Act as a trusted financial partner to senior stakeholders and managers, proactively providing insights, challenging assumptions, and influencing strategic and operational decision-making.
Financial Analysis:
Lead in-depth financial analysis, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights to drive business performance, investment decisions, and long-term planning.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Own and drive the budgeting and forecasting processes within your scope, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with overall financial and strategic objectives.
Budget Performance:
Partner closely with business leaders to monitor financial performance, identify variances, and guide corrective actions to deliver against budget and profitability targets.
Financial Closing:
Play a key role in the monthly closing process, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data, while continuously improving closing routines.
Performance Analysis:
Deliver comprehensive analysis of P&L statements and key performance indicators, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key drivers to support proactive decision-making.
Financial Reporting:
Produce high-quality financial reporting with clear, insightful commentary, presenting findings to stakeholders in a concise and impactful manner.
Sales Commissions:
Oversee and enhance the sales commission process, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement of related methodologies.
Financial Projects:
Lead or play a central role in finance-related projects and transformation initiatives, driving process improvements, automation, and efficiency across the function.
Who you are
Experience:
Several years of experience in an international environment as a Business Controller, Senior Financial Analyst, or similar role, with a track record of influencing business decisions. Working in a listed environment is meriting.
Education:
A degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Skills:
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to work with large datasets and translate financial concepts into business insights.
Communication:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and confidently to senior and non-finance audiences.
Mindset:
A proactive and commercially minded professional who takes ownership, challenges the status quo, and demonstrates curiosity to deeply understand business drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
Tools & Systems:
Strong experience with Excel and solid understanding of Business Intelligence tools; familiarity with financial systems and data visualization tools is an advantage.
Industry Knowledge:
Experience or strong interest in media, advertising, or technology is considered a plus. Experience from a sales-driven organization or working closely with commercial teams is also meritorious.
Location
While we operate with a high degree of trust and flexibility, we expect this role to be based out of our Stockholm office with a weekly presence.
