About the role
We're looking for an experienced IT Support Manager to step in and run our global helpdesk while our current manager is on parental leave. You'll own day-to-day operations, keep the team focused and supported, and maintain a high standard of service - giving senior leadership space to focus on AI strategy and process automation.
This is a high-visibility interim role with real impact. You'll work closely with senior IT leadership and have the autonomy to shape how the team operates day to day. While the position is initially fixed-term cover for 6 months, there is potential for extension or a longer-term transition depending on how the department's needs evolve when the Global Director of IT returns.
What you'll do
Team leadership and daily operations - Lead and support a global IT team through a transition period. Oversee helpdesk operations, manage workload and capacity, and keep the team performing well and motivated.
Service delivery and user enablement - Ensure top-tier support for employees globally. Proactively enable staff to get the most out of company tools, and maintain self-service resources that reduce friction for everyone.
Process improvement - Refine ticket triage, track SLAs, and surface insights that help the team work smarter. Collaborate closely with the Global Director of IT to keep operations aligned with broader strategy.
Vendor and asset management - Own key vendor relationships and oversee global hardware procurement, from onboarding needs to refresh cycles.
Who you are
Proven team leadership - experience managing an IT helpdesk or support function, ideally across multiple regions or time zones.
Clear, people-first communication - able to translate technical topics into plain language and build trust across the business.
Solid technical grounding - hands-on with Google Workspace, Slack, MDM, identity management, and ticketing systems.
Operational ownership - comfortable managing vendors, procurement, and asset lifecycle end to end.
Adaptability - you hit the ground running, spot what needs fixing, and don't wait to be asked.
Location: Stockholm or London (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid role. We welcome applicants based in either Sweden or the UK, and ask that you're able to come into the office 2–3 days per week at your nearest office location.
