About the role
Stockholm, Sweden - Acast, the world's leading independent podcast company, is seeking a visionary People Director to cultivate its talent-focused environment and champion its growth mindset.
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role where collaboration with international leaders is essential to align People practices with Acast's ambitious business objectives and drive positive, impactful change across the organization.
The successful candidate will spearhead the evolution of Acast's HR functions, with a strong focus on strategic people operations and organizational development. This entails ensuring seamless and compliant HR processes on a global scale while continuously innovating to enhance the employee experience. The People Director will be a champion of Acast's open and collaborative culture, fostering an environment where curiosity, bravery, and a passion for audio are celebrated.
This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team, fostering their growth and delivering high-performance results. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and empathetic leader with a proven track record of developing and executing successful people strategies in a fast-paced, creative, and technology-driven environment. At Acast, the People Director will not just be building a team, but nurturing a global community dedicated to the power of storytelling.

What you´ll do
Leadership and Team Management - Lead Acast's global People function, driving the strategic People agenda while developing and mentoring the People team to align with Acast's specific business objectives. Focus on mentoring, development, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
People Operational Oversight - Oversee and ensure initiatives support Acast's growth and global presence and manage the Talent Lead that will oversee talent acquisition and development strategies, develop global talent programs, and support talent pipeline growth.
Global Strategic People Agenda - You will focus on both being on-hands and delegating project leadership in key areas such as performance management, talent acquisition, and learning & development. This as well as other People related processes or projects to the People Managers, all tailored to Acast’s needs. Your focus together with the team will be to expand and set up compensation and benefits structures globally, salary reviews, and level frameworks specific to Acast’s local markets.
Who you are
Proven leadership experience in a global HR/People role, ideally within the media or technology sector similar to Acast.
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing teams within a fast-paced environment.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities relevant to Acast's business challenges.
Experience in developing and implementing People strategies that align with Acast’s objectives.
In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, and performance management within a global context.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, vital for working across Acast’s diverse teams.
Growth mindset and a passion for people development, particularly in the context of our evolving business.
