About the role
Join our team of business experts who are merging their business acumen with technical proficiency to equip our internal customers with the data, insights, and intelligence they need to enhance decision-making at Acast. We are on a journey to construct the "Acast BI Hub," a platform that will empower every Acast employee to access the data and insights they require, supported by GenAI-based reporting.
The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business understanding, technical skills, and communication abilities, and be passionate about using data to drive business success.
What you´ll do
Data Handling and Optimization: Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including data engineers, product managers and other data analysts to design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures that support the efficient processing and analysis of massive datasets generated by millions of daily listeners.
BI Requirement Fulfillment: Work closely with colleagues across various departments, including marketing, sales, and content, to understand their business intelligence needs and translate them into actionable insights and reports.
Data Interpretation and Analysis: Identify trends, changes and anomalies, providing actionable insights to customers to inform business decisions and strategies.
Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct in-depth, exploratory analyses to investigate new or unusual data patterns, uncover root causes, and provide explanations to stakeholders.
Data Transformation and Preparation: Develop and implement data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation processes to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and ready for analysis and consumption by BI tools and dashboards.
Requirements Gathering: Engage directly with customers to gather and document their reporting requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and priorities.
Predictive Modeling: Develop and implement statistical models to forecast business metrics, such as listener engagement, churn, and revenue, enabling proactive decision-making and resource allocation.
Growth Modeling: Design and implement data-driven models to understand and predict future growth trajectories, identify potential bottlenecks, and inform growth strategies and investment decisions.
Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain data quality standards and metrics, implement anomaly detection mechanisms, and continuously improve the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of datasets used for BI and reporting purposes.
Who you are
You have a strong foundation in data analysis and are proficient in using tools such as SQL, DBT, Qlik, and Looker to extract, transform, and visualize data. Your experience in data modeling and ETL processes enables you to design and implement efficient data pipelines.
You are a proactive and self-directed individual who can take ownership of your work and drive projects forward independently. You are comfortable working autonomously and can manage your time and priorities effectively.
You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across different teams and departments. You are adept at building relationships, sharing insights, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner. You are also open to feedback and willing to learn from others.
Where you will be
For this role you can be located anywhere in Sweden. Today, our team is entirely remote with team members spread across Malmö, Gothenburg, Stockholm and Poland. If you prefer to work from an office, you can do so if you’re based in or around Stockholm.
