About the role
Acast is looking for a legal counsel to join the Acast team in Stockholm. In this role you will support a wide range of commercial matters for all aspects of the Acast business including: global content and distribution contracts, ad sales agreements, general commercial contractual issues across strategy, content, sales, PR and communications matters.
What you´ll do
This role will include drafting, reviewing and analyzing a variety of agreements, including podcast licensing agreement, advertising sales agreements, co-production agreements, confidentiality agreements, and talent agreements. You will liaise and work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders and teams, across countries and departments, as well as outside counterparties (e.g., talent attorneys and agents, and production company counsels). The role is encouraged to provide business driven and practical advice and creative solutions and support, while ensuring legal compliance in all aspects.
This role will report to Head of Legal Americas, based in New York. Some travelling will be required.
Who you are
You hold a law degree and has a minimum of three years of legal experience, preferably in entertainment, media, technology, or intellectual property, either from a law firm or an in-house legal department. They should possess a collaborative, team-oriented attitude while also being able to work independently when needed.
Strong analytical, communication (both oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential. Fluency in English is required, while fluency in Swedish is a plus. Membership in the New York or California State Bar is highly desirable but not mandatory.
